Siti Aishah Mizan, 22 who is a first-year student of The Prime School of Integrated Logistics pursuing a degree in Logistics management and e-Business is elated that she has been offered to work as management trainee at Safeguards Corporation.
Just into her second semester, Siti Aishah said the offer was unexpected but is raring to prove her mettle.
“It was an offer that no one could resist. I was told to start work after the Raya break,” said the Pengerang, Johor lass.
The eldest of five siblings, Siti Aishah said she had graduated from her Diploma in Law Enforcement Administration and wanted a change in career.
“I was advised by the education counsellor to take up logistics as the industry is booming and career opportunities are boundless. Once I joined the classes, it was like love at first sight,” she said.
Her dream is to become a professional logistician, one who is well sought after these days.
Siti Aishah was one of three students who had an opportunity to meet Pos Malaysia Group CEO Charles Brewer during the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement between the oldest logistics company and Saito University College last month.
She expressed gratitude that Saito UC has taken the initiatives together with Pos Malaysia to set up a Learning Hub specially for Logistics students of The Prime.
“It would be nice to have a first-hand experience at a hub. Students will automatically become experienced job-seekers once they graduated.”
Siti Aishah called upon SPM students who are still unsure of their future to get in touch with Saito UC and listen to the advice of friendly and knowledgeable education counsellors.
“I found out about what Saito UC has to offer from its FB page. My stay during the Diploma was memorable with caring lecturers and that made me decide to continue my Bachelor Degree here,” she said.
Her lecturer Miss Noor Fathiah Othman described Siti Aishah as a go-getter and an active student especially in class.
“She is very inquisitive and participate actively in any project,” said Miss Noor Fathiah, adding that Siti Aishah is one of 10 students chosen as management trainee at Safeguards.
“We wish all of them the best of luck and I am confident they will perform above expectations at the workplace,” she said.
