With the values and mission of both Saito University College and Methodist College Kuala Lumpur aligned to serve students from both sides, both parties are all set to work together.
Saito vice-chancellor Professor Dr Vinitha Guptan said with the memorandum of agreement signed and sealed on Sept 30, 2021, she welcomed MCKL students and colleagues to be part of a bigger family.
“Let us make this MoA a living agreement. Let us share resources and conduct joint research to better serve the students,” she said in a welcoming speech before the signing of MoA held virtually via Microsoft teams platform.
Prof Dr Vinitha also said both parties can develop new modules and create exciting initiatives to cater to the needs of the students who form the integral part of both institutions.
“We shall strive for excellence and offer a solid education base as we work together towards achieving these,” she said.
MCKL Chief Executive Officer Angela Pok said she was looking forward to exciting times between both parties for the benefit of students.
The unique partnership between two premier institutions highlights the importance of good and quality education and ensures multiple studies pathways, signifying student and staff exchange for the betterment of the whole education ecosystem.
Saito UC incorporated applied learning and work integrated learning in modules to ensure students are future job ready.
Saito UC will offer between 50 per cent and full scholarships to MCKL students who wish to pursue further studies at our campus.
We have also created articulation pathways in the United Kingdom and China.

Saito University College –
Tetsuo Saito, the founder of Saito College, established the college in 1988. Saito College was the 1st institution in Malaysia to offer the Diploma in Graphic Design. Saito College has grown strength to strength since its inception and currently offers a wide range of courses in design, business and security management. In 2017, Saito College was awarded University College status by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and now offers degree courses in various disciplines.
