After a hiatus of two years, Saito University College organised a convocation ceremony for classes of 2020 and 2021 on March 19, 2022 at Wyndham Hotel, Klang which saw more than 500 graduates receiving their scrolls.
The graduates were from six schools, namely the Design School, Le Masters School of Hospitality & Culinary Arts, The Prime School of Integrated Logistics, Saito Security Academy, Business School and Early Education.
Looking good and beautiful garbed in graduation gowns, the graduates went up stage with great aplomb as they received their precious scrolls, produly watched by parents and loved ones.
The convocation was held amidst strict standard operating procedures as all guests had undergone strict checks at the entrance. Social distancing were observed and everyone was required to put on masks.
Chancellor Dato’ Dr Mustapha Abdul Hamid congratulated all graduates, saying that the scroll would not just get you the job you desire but most of all the characteristics that will bring you to greater heights.
“You will now begin a new chapter in your lives. It is hard to predict the nature of the world for many years from now. But these two years have proven that you have toiled with sweat and tears in reaching this stage – graduating into working adulthood,” he said.
“Good luck in your future endeavour as you are one step closer to being leaders of tomorrow,” Dato’ Dr Mustapha added.
The convocation was delayed following the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic in the early 2020. The various standard operating procedures set had disrupted our normal lives and institutions and schools had introduced Study From Home practice.
Also present were Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Vinitha Guptan and senior management of Saito UC.
