It’s finally here – the learning hub for students of The Prime School of Integrated Logistics is the pinnacle for the growth of more of logistics professionals in the country.

Saito University College and Pos Malaysia inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to establish Saito UC – Pos Malaysia Learning Hub on March 25, 2022 which paved the way for students to gain work experience via an academic incubator. The main objective of this hub is to expose students to the real-life industry practices, bringing the industry to students’ learning experience.

Apart from the Hub, Saito UC Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Vinitha Guptan also announced good news for Pos Malaysia employees and family members.

The institution of higher learning offers 10 full scholarships for Degree and Master, a 30 per cent tuition waiver for all employees and family members.

Children of Pos Malaysia staff who wish to take the Foundation programme will get to study for free.

Prof. Dr Vinitha said: “We create opportunities for students to be mobile and continue their studies by providing various modes of study and options to choose from. We believe in being agile and deconstructing the conventional education system.

“We envision businesses and industries will recognise and appreciate the integrated and diverse skillsets of a Saito graduate equipped not only with knowledge but also with work-integrated and practical skills.”

She added this will enable them to transition seamlessly into the workplace and stand out among their peers.

“In addition, Pos Malaysia will be leveraging this collaboration with Saito to provide opportunities for Pos Malaysia staff to gain academic qualifications as part of their career development and growth. This is Pos Malaysia’s commitment as the Employer of Choice with highly motivated and engaged staff,” said Prof. Dr Vinitha.

The signing ceremony between Prof. Dr Vinitha and Pos Malaysia Group Chief Executive Officer Charles Brewer was held at Pos Malaysia headquarters in Dayabumi, Kuala Lumpur.

During this ceremony, Brewer was also presented with the Certificate of Appreciation on his appointment as Saito’s Professor of Practice to guide and mentor the students

Also present were Saito CEO Ooi Chee Kok, The Prime School of Integrated Logistics Dean Dr Jenny Wong and other senior officials.
