It is not just about learning, it is also about having fun at work, as 15 students of Saito School of Education had a fun time at Replay Malaysia – a toy donation centre – on Nov 7.
They volunteered to sort out toys to be given away to needy children as they mingled with other volunteers at the centre.
The Dean, Dr Nadiah Sahimi said it was not just about them having fun, it was part of our outdoor classroom approach, teaching them in understanding thematic learning.
“It is also for them to learn the different types of toys for kids,” she said adding that learning is best beyond the classroom walls.
“That was why we took our Year 2 students to this centre, learning while having fun,” said Dr Nadiah.
The fun programme is a prelude before they start their micro teaching in preschools next week.
“This exercise will help them to plan their lesson better. These students are excited about the practical they are going to start,” she said.
