It’s an honour for me to lead a team of highly qualified administrators and faculty members of the new Saito University College.  Together, as a team we will develop this University College which will be known for its excellence of its teaching and learning as well as its contribution to the local, national and even international communities. Our challenge is to generate ideas that will benefit society and to educate and train people to work in fields where they will be valued both for their specialised knowledge, innovativeness, creativity and for their problem solving abilities.

The University is committed to academic excellence and graduate employability education. The current undergraduate programmes in management, design and law security management will be further strengthened with the addition of three new industry specific dual degree and graduate programmes that serve critical workforce needs for the nation. The graduates of these programmes will have knowledge and skills that will bring about a better tomorrow. These programmes will be positioned to meet market needs. Private and public sector cooperation will result in creating a regional hub for continuing lifelong professional training and development for our graduates and undergraduates. The University College will work closely with partners from different sectors, sharing ideas on working better together, resulting in exciting and ground-breaking “academic-work-place’ collaborations.

In our internationalization efforts we are committed and continuously expanding our regional reach in Myanmar, Cambodia, Nepal and Sri Lanka. In fact, the University has already begun working with these countries. Our goal in these countries is to create opportunities for both staff and student to effectively contribute to their respective countries’ vision for the future. We are indeed proud of our role in higher education in these fast developing countries.
