Welcome to Saito University College

Where Is My Money?

We often ask ourselves, where has our money gone to. This applies to all.

With that in mind, Saito University College has organised a programme called the Financial Literacy Essential – Before You Launch Your Career Path to learn money management and how to achieve financial freedom.

With two experts on board, students who attended the two-day talk on June 21 & 22, gained an insight on cashflow and also investment to step into the real world.

It was not just all talk session, participants were introduced to finance-related games to make it interactive, said the organiser, Mr Raja Mohan, a Saito UC lecturer.

The talk was conducted by Mr A. Nesathurai, Mr Ganesh and Mr Krisna Kumar from Wealth Whisperers while Deputy Vice-Chancellor Associate Professor Lim Tou Boon was on hand to give away certificates to participants.

Participants were introduced to the basic investment concept, providing an opportunity to undergraduates to apply investment knowledge in practical setting.

Games were introduced to provide understanding the three key aspets of wealth building and mastering budgeting.

Mr Raja Mohan said participants were taught how to make informed financial decisions and the lessons were complemented by relevant real world case studies.

“We hope our students will be more money-wise when they leave the nest and gain financial freedom,” he said.

More than 50 participants from various schools attended the session.
