In the spirit of Ramadan, Lè Masters School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts organised a special Iftar event for 40 orphans from Rumah Anak Yatim Jalinan Kasih, Cheras last March 12.
This meaningful initiative was championed by Chef Muhammad Nor, who led the school’s Culinary Arts students in preparing and serving a variety of traditional and modern dishes for the children.
Saito UC Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Vinitha Guptan and Faculty Dean, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Zahar Ali who were present, expressed their support for the school’s commitment to community engagement and experiential learning.
“This event reflects our belief that hospitality goes beyond the classroom—it is about giving back to the community,” said Prof. Dr. Vinitha.
“We are proud of our students for their dedication in making this Iftar a memorable experience for these children.”
Chef Muhammad Nor emphasised the importance of using culinary skills to make a positive impact, saying, “Food has the power to bring people together, and this initiative not only allowed our students to hone their skills but also to spread joy through their passion for cooking.”
The evening featured a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a specially curated Iftar menu and heartfelt interactions between students and the children.
