History of Saito University College
Throughout our history, Saito University College has grown from strength to strength.
Mr. Tetsuo Saito first established the Saito Academy of Graphic Design in 1988 to share and teach the beauty of Japan’s language and culture. From this humble beginning, he made history in our country’s tertiary education by putting together Malaysia’s first Diploma in Graphic Design with his extraordinary entrepreneurial instinct.
Since then, we have been Malaysia’s pioneers in design education, educating and nurturing young talents in the world of design while helping them to identify and unleash their passions. And we didn’t stop there. Throughout the years, we have constantly worked to improve ourselves and push the boundaries of how we teach our beloved students.
In 1996, we moved to a larger campus at PJ New Town. Our facilities continued to grow alongside our student population and offered programmes. First with what would become the Saito Law Enforcement and Public Sector Management school in 2008 to capitalise on and address Malaysia’s need for superior law enforcement professionals, then with the Saito Business School in 2012, primed to equip our nation’s entrepreneurs to face modern business challenges.
We also ensured that we embarked on these endeavours with strong support from prestigious industry affiliates so that our students would benefit from the industry as their classroom. With these connections, we give our students the best chance to graduate as highly skilled and employable professionals.
These new innovations occurred alongside new growth. In 2010, we moved into our current campus location to cater to our growing number of students. And to reflect our growth in not just our state-of-the-art facilities but also the broadened scope of our philosophy, we officially became Saito University College in 2017, offering degree programmes, an expanded teaching faculty, and new campuses. This was further supplemented when in 2020, we proudly expanded our network and established a new campus in Cheras: Kampus Saito.
In 2023, we launched our K2 School of Business and Design, a revolutionary programme which once again changes the rules: it combines the fields of both business and design in a single holistic curriculum, teaching its students the best of both worlds, letting them graduate as versatile, dynamic professionals with an outstanding mix of skills.
Today, we are proud to offer six unique schools, each with distinct opportunities for students to discover their talents and thrive in fulfilling careers. These six schools are The Prime School of Integrated Logistics, K² School of Business and Design, Saito Law Enforcement and Public Sector Management, Saito Business School, Lé Masters School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Saito School of Education, and Saito Graduate School.
As we continue to grow and expand with greater offerings for our students, we hold true to our roots: that we are educators, and we promise to be there for our students with affordable world-class education.
