Ms. Mhiruna joined Saito University College in 2019 and gives students the benefit of her knowledge by lecturing on crime and criminology modules. She holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and is awaiting the conferment of a PhD in Law from the University of Malaya.
With a foundation of social administration and justice, Mhiruna’s academic journey has been dedicated to exploring the areas of elder law, specifically in terms of the prevention and intervention of elder abuse in Malaysia. Her research extends beyond the theoretical framework of crime and crime prevention, delving into practical implementations aimed at addressing the challenges faced by elders in the community.
With a commitment to both research and writing, Mhiruna aspires to be a leading expert in the area of criminology and elder law, and strives to play a vital role in shaping the landscape of these fields by bridging the gap between academic insights and real-world applications.
Being a seasoned MQA Programme Accreditation Assessor for Security and Law Enforcement Programmes since 2014, he comes with prior industry experience, and has obtained just over 20 years of experience in the Private Security Industry as well as multiple achievements and certifications that represent his expertise.
As a Senior Lecturer in Saito, he supervises the Project Papers of many Bachelor and Master’s students in the area of Security and Enforcement. Dr. David also encourages Bachelor, Master’s and PhD students to take a cross-disciplinary approach to their areas of research in Social Science.
Before his retirement, Dr. Zulkiffly pursued a PhD at Arshad Ayub Graduate Business School, UiTM, focusing on marketing and transportation. Demonstrating his commitment to advancing knowledge, Dr. Zulkiffly played a pivotal role in a collaborative research project with Pos Malaysia and Saito University College, investigating service levels between Pos Malaysia and other couriers in Malaysia.
Currently, Dr. Zulkiffly imparts his wealth of knowledge in research as he teaches research methodology to Master’s students, guides Bachelor students in their Final Year Projects at Saito University College, and supervises PhD students with his expertise.
